It all started in 1919, when Nicola DePasquale came over from Avellino, Italy and opened up a meat market in Newton. In 1969, Peter took over and focused only on sausage. When he passed, Steve DePasquale bought the business in 1990 and put in a retail part to the store. Previously, it was just a wholesale business. Still running it to this day 32 years later, Steve has brought it to what it is today and continues to build on the legacy. Using the same time honored recipe for the Italian sausages he also has added hit flavors such as the Chinese brand sausages and cheese and garlic. Caelan DePasquale is now the fourth generation in the business today. He is working to take over the business and bring it to new heights.
